Crum Woods of Swarthmore College:  Study concluded that overabundant deer were a major threat to the biodiversity and ecosystem function of Crum Woods.  NRC was engaged to develop a deer management plan for the forest to address these concerns with instructions to evaluate all possible options.  NRC has completed and submitted the requested plan, conducted public, staff and student meetings to seek input and clarificaiton.  Contact:  Jeff Jabco, Director of Grounds

Lower Makefield Township, Bucks County, PA:  NRC developed a detailed, townshipwide, deer management plan designed to maintain a viable, reproducing deer population in balance with the goals of biodiversity conservation and reduced deer/human conflicts.  The plan evaluated all available options and the latest technologies for deer control and impact mitigation.  Compliance and effectiveness monitoring protocols were designed and outlined.  An integrated management design approach was used.
